I fell into temptation, and just had to make another one!
Inspiration:
For those who cannot stand to see such an ugly photoshopping result, here's where the real inspiration came from: Truly Victorian Gown

Okay! So I have the concept, and I still have to stop by Bed Bath and Beyond for the fabric. Yes, Bed Bath and Beyond. Thanks to Aspiring Costumer on the TV boards for hinting that sheets make great fabric. They do, actually. About three yards of 100% Egyptian Cotton Sateen for only ten bucks! The downside is, the only nice colors they have are a deep red and a dark, navy blue. I wanted a nice raspberry color, but the fabric I found on FashionFabricsClub.com had lycra in it and cost too much for the budget.
I already had to buy one pattern! So I think I can consider this progress....

*Squeals with delight* I finally got the fabric (or bed sheets, lol) from Bed Bath and Beyond, and the fabric is just HEAVENLY!!! Thank you so much to Aspiring Costumer on the Truly Victorian boards for this tip!! Take a look at it:
Also, here's a look at the undergarments I would like to use for this dress. The thing is, the dress is natural form, but why does it have the shape it has in the picture of the real inspiration? Must go ask Heather...

Well.... I completed most of the underskirt? Does that count for progress? I had alot of issues with the pleated ruffle. It wasn't long enough, pleats weren't even, so I basically just threw it under the bed for a while. Eventually, I sewed the two rows of creme ribbons on to add a decorate touch. *shivers* I'm being reminded of the wishing gown ribbons!!!
I also did a bit of experimenting with a doll's hat to try to try to make my own. Yeah... it could be worse.

The underskirt complete! Except it's lacking a closure, but it's alright for now. Anyways, what do you guys think about the lenght? I'm going to be wearing this when I volunteer at a local museum.
Also, here are the pictures of the very historically incorrect Victorian "boots" I got at K-mart for only twenty dollars! Not bad considering I've been searching everywhere for them!
