Screwed up my old one, so I'm making a new one.

Brief description: Two layers, coutil and some weird creme stretchy fabric with a lace overlay. Here's a picture I took before I realized the busk was in backwards:

I did fix the busk, but now it's upside down. Not really, but they say the closer knobs should be at the bottom for more support. I quit. I think I'll just live with it for now.
Here are a few pictures of me wearing it, unfinished of course. Busk, and only two bones in the back where the "grommets" should be. See, I haven't put the grommets in, because it takes forever and a day to hammer just 1 size 00 grommet with the dritz hand setter I have. I don't have another eighty bucks lying around to buy a real setter, but I realize now it would've been very helpful. The difference with the high quality ones I bought now is that they're alot stronger, and that means a heck of alot harder to hammer into place!!
Yeah, the busk is a tad crooked. I don't really know why. I think my seams are uneven, so I'll fix that later. The top of the right side is shorter than the left. Not noticeable, but it bugs me because there is a huge difference of support and I can tell. The shape of the corset is alot better since I took out the side back piece and added the hip gores to substitute. I know, all of the purists out there are going to come after me soon... 0-0!
I remedied the whole not tall enough thing by changing where I pull in the laces at the waist. Apparently, I laced it too high. Now the corset is better, even support, and I'm working on tweaking the hipgores so the busk will be straight. The one thing still bothering me is the bust gores though. Their a tad big. I'm still adjusting the corset, and in the process of setting grommets by hand, so I can't do much until then.

Nothing too exciting - but here's a random picture I took of the "tipping fluid" I'm using for my boning, which still has to be measured and cut:
I solved the "not supportive enough" problem on the right side of the bust. It turns out one of my seams was unravelling! THe busk has straighted out significantly, but if I stare at it long enough, I still think it's crooked. Actually, it is crooked. I give up. So be it. If it wants to be crooked, then let it be crooked so long as I don't end up with back problems. ;)

I haven't really worked on this lately. Although, I did start sewing some of the boning channels and tipped the boning! I get credit for that, right? :)
